“Provide logical, honest and affordable plumbing, gas-fitting and drainlaying to our community in Dunedin.”

Our standard of work, in house training and expectations, our ability to take on multi-million dollar projects, and our communication has always been second to none and is constantly praised by customers. We say what we are going to do and we turn up when we say we are going to turn up. Simple.

Although we are only a team of 6, much like New Zealand, we punch way above our weight in terms of output, quality and skill-set.

No awards as such, but iPlumb has collaborated with Microsoft on a international project, have been a national ambassador for DigitalBoost initiative launched by the MBIE, and given countless free seminars across the South Island on digital marketing, growth hacking and how we have achieved this and continue to do so. We have been featured on NewsHub earlier this year and also featured in NZ Plumber magazine for our work in the digital sector. We have also been featured in Business South multiple times over the past 6 years.
Funny story this one – I ran out of ink for my A4 at home printer, so off I trotted to Warehouse stationary to purchase some ink. Found out that actually buying a printer with ink was a cheaper option so I purchased an A3 all in one printer, scanner, fax that come with ink.

I travelled home again and set up my new printer, had a lightbulb moment and thought well I have a A3 printer, scanner and fax so I may as well start a business.

This is where iPlumb was born and has continued to grow into something larger than I had ever imagined….might be time for some new ink!

Ahhh Ink is expensive!

Being only 25 years old when iPlumb was born, there was PLENTY of challenges along the way. Everything from initial cash flow issues and discovering what they were and how they affected your business, late payers, demanding workloads and schedules, to internal struggles feeling like a tiny fish in a big sea of accomplished business people. These are all things that we have experienced with iPlumb’s journey.

I think recently our biggest challenges that stood in our way would have to be dealing with two nation-wide lockdowns within 18 months, and the financial, logistical and procedural repercussions that this entailed.
I believe that without perseverance and overcoming adversity, you would not be able to make it in the business world. This is an absolute pre-requisite of business success!
We have managed to consistently grow our sales by 70% since we have started, to now achieving 7 figures for the past 4 years.

Freedom to spend time with the family, although this often goes the other way!

Learning every single day, and refining our processes gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction.

Since the birth of iPlumb we have given sponsorship grants of over 50k to many local sports teams, athletes, cancer societies, and under-privileged youth.

Every year at Christmas we buy over 1k worth of Christmas presents and donate them to a wishing well tree at multiple locations, in the hope that we can give back and put a smile on some child’s face on Christmas morning, wherever that might be!
