Taking over Profilm in 2009 during a recession, Oliver created a strategic plan to keep the business growing. However, trying to maintain full output while understaffed at the time lead to longer hours and increased stress, affecting his home life. In 2011 Oliver stared working from home in the hopes that he would be able to combine his work and home life. Although this works for some businesses, he found that this was not the direction for Burgeon Signs.
In 2014 he took over the day-to-day management of Signcraftsmen Hamilton and merged the client base of Profilm. The amalgamated companies formed Burgeon Signs.
Burgeon Signs was formed to provide high quality signage and display solutions, with full in house production abilities such as large format digital print, ACM and Acrylic fabrication, 3D and illuminated sign manufacture. The Burgeon Signs team has taken all their experiences and expertise from the last decade to become who they are now.
“I have learnt so many lessons over the years – most the hard way – but am very grateful for them all as today I feel very proud of who we are and where we can go as a business”.
