Business mission and vision:
Our mission is to reduce the use of natural gas and the cost of heating water for Wellington home owners.

“Work with home owners to find the best solution for their hot water needs taking into consideration cost and environmental impacts.”

We are very focused on our environmental impact. We are currently researching moving to electric or hybrid work vans, we promote and install hot water heat pumps which reduces our customer’s reliance on natural gas, and reduces the amount of electricity they use to heat their water.
We wanted to build a business we could be proud of and that would see us through into retirement.
At the moment hot water heat pumps are not very well understood in the New Zealand market. Many overseas countries offer subsidies for people to install these systems but NZ doesn’t. This means that we have to continue with general plumbing and gas fitting work to keep ourselves afloat while we educate people about the benefit of hot water heat pumps.
Perseverance and overcoming self doubt are the main things for us. We know this product and market is still very young and sometimes we question if we are doing the right thing but the benefits to our environment and people’s wallets keep us going.
We have maintained profitablility since our second month of trading so we’re pretty happy with that. We are still in the very early stages of our business.
Our focus on providing a great service to our customers and helping them find genuine ways to save money and reduce their environmental impact.
We are starting to build a really good customer fan base. Our google reviews are all five stars except for one which is four stars but is very bizarre because I’ve never heard of this person before…
I have fibromyalgia and some other health issues so being able to manage my time and work when I feel really good and rest when I need to is awesome.
We have recently outfitted new toilets for the Carterton Football Club and we contribute to the Special Childrens Christmas Party.
We are currently working through a plan to offer gold card and CSC holders discounts for their work. We know a lot of people are struggling so we are trying to find ways to help people out where we can.
