Steve Bradburn the Director/owner of SimplyFire Limited, being in the Fire Protection industry for over 26 years saw the opportunity to set up what was originally solely a Passive Fire Protection business as passive protection was becoming way more important in the industry, newbuilds or Retro fitting developments etc.
As the Passive business grew and the relationships formed an opportunity to grow the business by entering into the Electronic Alarm field had to be the right move.

Coming through the tough times as everyone did with Covid, then the aftereffects of the lack of materials, labor shortages and to costs escalating. Competition became tight, you needed to survive and secure the future of your business for your team as well as yourself.
You learnt to operate smarter and more efficient. Everyone was in the same boat.
Being a small to medium sized business and not having a dedicated Health and Safety department that has highly skilled dedicated resources available to be called on, SimplyFire administration and Health and Safety team achieved two very large health and safety achievements. Totika Recognition and Gold status for Health and safety in SiteWise. Work are very excited to have developed a great relationship with Waikato WINTEC where we have successfully transition 5 candidates from their Electrical training program into the Fire Protection Industry, providing each of the team members clear career paths within our business. We have one of these candidates that has developed very well into a supervisory role. Progression and development, another example of “Better Never Stops!”
Brand awareness, we are recognized in the industry and from our clients existing and new via word of mouth. That we have a strong devoted team that want to deliver and enjoy working for the brand. We now have 15 vehicles on the road operating successfully with in our regions.
Supporting business: Sprinklers installations businesses to enable us to offer complete package options, 2 x Electronic Fire Alarm Installation business to assist in project overflow when and where required, and building and compliance related contractors to support clients etc.
We work with the recognized NZQA Provider Competenz to establish robust and solid training plans to assist our Trainees in meeting their goals. Our provider works and guides our Electronic Fire, Passive Fire and testing team developments. Our Leaders attend outsourced leadership training to assist in their top line development.
As we operate in a specialized field, we source the latest new product development training from our suppliers, this keeps our moto of “Better Never Stops!” progressing to continuous improvement.

All staff are supplier trained to stay updated on products, legislation, and building codes and we hold IQP status with local authorities for legal compliance inspections of fire protection systems.

We don’t physically have testimonials or reviews at hand to provide, however the strengths of the business relationships where we are engaged through projects after projects with them highlight the recognition of reliability and quality of work.
